June- 1. __________ 2.___________

Sunday evening through Monday evening (June 8th-June 9th), Israel was celebrating Shavuot. This is also called the “Time of the Giving of the Torah”, “The Festival of the First Fruits”, and “The Feast of Weeks” or the “Harvest Festival”. We (Christians) commonly refer to it as “Pentecost” because it occurs (as mandated by God) seven weeks after Passover. On the second day of Passover we are suppose to begin counting (It’s called the “Counting of the Omer”). Anticipation should be building while individuals await God’s instruction. With his instruction also comes the test (first fruits).

Within the past seven weeks you should have conceived vision from the Lord and you’ve just recently become pregnant with his instructions. It is this initial test (which I will call a pregnancy test) that determines your “conception”. We know that the seed was sent, but did you receive it? Are you still carrying it? Or did you miscarry already so early in the term?

How did you do? Should you have done better? How confident are you that you’ve conceived enough of the vision and the instructions to carry through the summer?

*I got a 95% which is not fantastic considering!!! :(
